    About us...
Curt Mellon and Mike Federau have forged a successful partnership for more than 28 years, first in the field of insurance and, more recently, in residential real estate and commercial real estate in southwest Florida, including the areas of Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port, Boca Grande, Englewood, Venice, Arcadia, Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Lehigh Acres.

With experience in both building design and construction, Mike Federau and Curt Mellon realized their long-held dream of employing their expertise in the Sunshine State in 1994. After several years in Naples, Florida they relocated Punta Gorda, Florida. “It felt like the right time, and Punta Gorda, felt like the right place,” they said; and it was.

Both Curt and Mike were raised in large families in Michigan, where their natural congeniality was well suited to working easily with clients in private business. Their eagerness to serve has transferred perfectly to Florida real estate. Professionalism, a solid work ethic and insistence on putting clients’ needs first have been rewarded with a thriving South Florida real estate business as well as a long roster of satisfied clientele.

Dan McKinney joined the MLS Detectives Team in the spring of 2009, having been friends with Mike and Curt for many years. With extensive experience in both the new construction housing industry and waterfront vacant land sales, it was a seamless transition for Dan to become an active partner within the MLS Detectives Team.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Dan too was raised in a large family and made the decision to relocate to Southwest Florida in mid-2003. It was at that time that Dan began his career in real estate sales and quickly realized his passion for helping individuals and families with their real estate needs. Dan, along with the entire MLS Detectives Team, is passionate about the fact that clients must be properly educated in order to navigate, and make wise discussions, in this rapidly changing market place; this effort is a team priority. Residing in Lee County, Dan is able to expand further South, in order to assist customers with the Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Lehigh Acres markets.
